ARTIST STATEMENT

As an artist, musician and saxophone player, my biggest drive is to share the beauty and strength I admire in the music I play, with my audience. As I am passionate about contemporary music, it is my goal to show as many people as possible that this music is not just for a select group a musicians, but can be enjoyed (and is enjoyable!) by everyone. To me being a musician is not just about playing my instrument, I love to connect music to different art forms such as dance, theatre and visual arts, and being part of interdisciplinary collaborations is what gives me the drive to become a better musician myself. 

Although I love being on stage by myself and showing the beauty of the saxophone repertoire, there is nothing more rewarding than being on stage with a group of fellow musicians or artists, coming together to create and share our art.
